Think Pink!

Yesterday Keith and I went to the doctor's for my four month exam which was supposed to be pretty routine with a blood pressure and weight check. Dr. Lovell being, the nice man that he is, asked us if we wanted a sneak peek of the baby. We were incredibly excited when he told us to go into the ultrasound room and wait for him. He looked at the baby for about ten minutes and half of that time was spent trying to get the baby to show us its gender. The doctor declared the baby hyperactive because it was moving so much! Finally we got a pretty good shot and the doc declared it a girl. It's not a definite and Keith is still hoping our little fetus grows some extra genitalia, but in the meantime I'm taking his advice and thinking pink. While he was doing the ultrasound, the doctor turned on the 3-D view which is amazing! He had an aerial view of the baby on the screen and it turned it's face upward so we got a shot of her eyes. He also pointed out the baby scratching her ear at one point. It's amazing what technology can show you! I felt the baby for the first time a couple of nights ago which was also really fun. She's always moving around when I'm at rest and I love to be able to feel it.

Here's the ABC Tag that I keep putting off:

A = ADVOCATE FOR: Warmer weather in Rexburg. I think I'll be waiting on this one for awhile.

B = BEST FEATURE: That's a hard one considering my ever changing body at this point...Keith says it's my smile but I think he's been a little obsessed with teeth lately because of all of the shadowing he's been doing to prepare for dental school.

C = COULD DO WITHOUT: Throwing Up!!!! And I totally agree with Nycole on the acne thing. When will they find a permanent cure for that?

D = DREAMS AND DESIRES: Be a good mom and finish my bachelor's this fall.

E = ESSENTIAL ITEM: Aquiphor healing ointment. It's essential in this completely non-humid climate.

F= FAVORITE PAST TIME: Recently it's sudoku and crossword puzzles but I always love a good book. Yes Keith, I'm a nerd

G = GOOD AT: Spelling

H = HAVE NEVER TRIED: Drugs, alcohol

I = IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS: Definitely I would put it away for dental school and a practice because we'll need every penny of it! And I would probably buy a ridiculous amount of baby clothes and supplies.

J = JUNKIE FOR: Ice cream and anything chocolate

K = KINDRED SPIRIT: Keith

L = LITTLE KNOWN FACT: The girls in my fam don't have middle names. I belch better than Keith (sorry mom!)

M = MEMORABLE MOMENT: Our wedding and seeing and feeling our baby for the first time tops them all but here's a funny one I blame on the pregnancy: First week of classes I was sure my class started at 10:00, so I showed up around 9:52 only to find class in session. How odd, I thought as I continued to walk into class. It was packed and I started pacing the back looking for a seat. My teacher (quite rudely) told me I could come up front and sit. So she paused class as I walked up to the front of the classroom and sat down on the piano bench with every eye on me and the whole time I'm thinking how weird it was that she started class so early. Already embarrassed that I interrupted class, I became mortified when she dismissed class at 10. Yeah I had class at 10:15 and somehow that never registered in my mind!

N = NEVER AGAIN WILL I: Go to Cajun Bob's. That was a once-in-a-lifetime experience I could have done without.

O = OCCASIONAL INDULGENCE: On-line shopping

P = PICKY AT/WITH: Pictures. I usually hate taking them and then I hate the results

Q = QUOTE: Here's a good one I heard today in my religion class: "The day we become totally obedient (to the Lord) is the day we become free." Sorry I didn't catch who said it.

R = REASON TO SMILE: Rachel, Kate, and Taft coming June 6th!

S = SORRY ABOUT: The stupid things I've done which have hurt myself and others. But I guess I've grown a lot from my mistakes so it's better to learn than to keep doing the same stupid things over and over again.

T = TAG SOME FRIENDS: Katie and Joy. Rachel still needs to do this too.

U = UNINTERESTED IN: Gory movies. I know they're Keith's favorite but I cannot stand them.

V = VERY SCARED OF: Spider and throwing up. I think I'm phobic of both

W = WORST HABIT: Crossing my legs. I'm doing it right now and I know I'm going to make the varicose veins worse but I don't even realize I'm doing it most of the time.

X = X MARKS MY IDEAL VACATION SPOT: Europe

Y = YESTERYEAR DECADE OF CHOICE: I don't really have a preference, they all have their pros and cons.

Z = ZODIAC SIGN: Sagittarius

Tribute to Mom's

I know this is a day late, but I wanted to post this video in honor of Mother's Day.
